A Chatham man was found to be in possession of $3,600 of drugs.
Matthew Blondeel, 33, of Trillium Lane was charged on Monday night with driving while prohibited, driving while under suspension, unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon, failing to comply with a weapons prohibition, possession of cannabis for the purpose of distributing and possession for the purposes of trafficking.
On Monday night, an officer on general patrol observed Blondeel, known to be unlicensed, driving on Keil Drive. The officer initiated a traffic stop and took Blondeel into custody.
Upon being searched incident to arrest, he was found to be in possession of brass knuckles, marihuana, cocaine, digital scale and large amount of cash.
Blondeel was released pending a future court date of September 10, 2020. His vehicle has been impounded for 45 days as per the Vehicle Impoundment Program.
Wallaceburg neighbour dispute leads to charges
On Monday morning, police responded to a disturbance between neighbours in Wallaceburg.
Through investigation, police learned that when the woman attended her neighbour’s apartment regarding a noise complaint, she was assaulted and threatened.
The 32-year-old Wallaceburg man was arrested and charged with assault and breach of probation for associating with the woman in the apartment. He was released pending a future court date of September 8, 2020.

Tilbury troubles
Tuesday morning, an 18-year-old Tilbury man was taken into custody and charged with robbery and resist arrest.
He attempted to steal an item from a local business. As an employee approached the man, he pushed her and fled the store.
Officers located the man a short distance away on his bicycle, and as they placed him under arrest he tried to pull away from the officer while pushing and kicking at him.
He was released pending a future court date of September 8, 2020.
Later, police received information regarding a family dispute that occurred in Tilbury the previous night between family members.
Through investigation, police learned that during a verbal argument, a woman threatened her sister while in possession of scissors and also threw keys at her.
The 18-year-old Tilbury woman was arrested and charged with uttering threats and two counts of assault with a weapon. She was released pending a future court date of September 2, 2020.
Theft of ATV in Tupperville
Sometime between Sunday at 11 p.m. and Monday at 8 a.m. unknown suspect(s) forced their way into a shed on Base Line, causing approximately $200 damage.
Once inside, the suspect(s) stole a 2005 green / camo Arctic Cat 300 4×4 ATV valued at about $4000. The ATV was last seen with Ontario license plate 80HJ7.
