$10K in fishing tackle stolen

Chatham-Kent police are asking for the public’s help in helping to recover an estimated $10,000 in stolen fishing gear.

Police say sometime Monday night someone got into a residence in Morpeth and stole rods, reels, tackle, tackle boxes, and angling accessories.

Here’s a list of what went missing:

  • six CV 20D Okuma Convector reels;
  • two CV 30D Okuma Convector reels;
  • CV 30L Okuma Convector reel;
  • two Ugly Stick trolling rods;
  • seven Shimano Talora trolling rods;
  • three Special Mate tackle boxes;
  • two Cannon Magnum 5ST electric downriggers;
  • 300 assorted spoons;
  • 125 assorted body baits;
  • 300 Mustad Seyewash hooks; and
  • Braided line 30lb and Leadcore 27lb.
