Chatham-Kent police responded to a weapons call in downtown Chatham early Sunday morning.
It seems a local establishment reported a man had what looked like a handgun tucked into the rear waistband of his pants.
Police say officers located the man and took him into custody as they checked out the validity of the complaint.
It turns out it was a BB gun.
The man willingly handed over the BB gun to officers for destruction, police say, and no charges were laid.
