To steal from Jimmy Buffett, golfers will be wasting away in FoGaritaville Sept. 7.

On top of that, there’s a line up to get into FoGaritaville, the third annual Festival of Golf put on by the Foundation of the Children’s Treatment Centre of Chatham-Kent (CTCCK).

A full slate of 144 golfers are signed up to take part in the event, each contributing $750 for a day of golf, food, beverages and entertainment at Willow Ridge Golf and Country Club in Blenheim.

Up for grabs again this year is a new Ford Mustang. But holes in one could land golfers a new Ford F-150 truck, $50,000 cash, or a trip for four to the legendary St. Andrew’s Links golf course, arguably the birthplace of golf.

Auction items also up for grabs include a Caddyshack poster autographed by the classic film’s cast members; a boxing glove that bears the autographs of Muhammad Ali, Joe Fraser, George Foreman, Mike Tyson and Floyd Mayweather, and an autographed Rolling Stones guitar.

Following a day of golf, participants will be treated to dinner and an after-party featuring Acoustic FM.

Mike Genge, executive director of the Foundation of CTCCK, said there will also be a pre-party on Sept. 6 at Rossini’s in Chatham. At this event, Walkin’ 47 will perform, while guests will be treated to a pig roast, and can bid on additional auction items, such as a guitar autographed by Paul McCartney, and a package to attend the Hockey Hall of Fame induction ceremonies.
