Two local people face charges after someone threatened to steal a woman’s puppy yesterday afternoon in Chatham.
Police say a man and his girlfriend drove to the residence of a woman who was known to them. He entered the home and demanded money.
But when that didn’t pan out, he took her two-month old puppy and left.
Police say the woman followed the man outside, got her puppy back, only to be threatened by the man’s girlfriend, who was waiting in the car.
Last night, police arrested a 44-year-old man and charged him with break and enter, as well as a 31-year-old woman, who is charged with uttering threats.
