Ignoring court orders recently has landed several people in hot water locally.
Police say early this morning, officers responded to Park Avenue East in Chatham in regard to a suspicious person complaint. Officers found a vehicle in the complainant’s driveway, and learned the woman inside the truck was with a person she was ordered to not communicate with when she was released from custody last October.
The man, in the meantime, falsely identified himself to the officers, police say. And he is bound by a court order to not communicate with the woman.
A 25-year-old Windsor woman is charged with failing to comply.
A 29-year-old Amherstburg man is charged with obstructing police and breaching a court order.
Earlier that afternoon, police learned of a domestic disturbance that took place last week. They also learned the man involved was to not communicate with the woman.
Last night, police found the suspect.
A 25-year-old Blenheim man is charged with assault and failing to comply.
