’Tis the season for theft, apparently, from firearms to tools to electronics, to vehicles.
Police say sometime Tuesday between 7 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., someone forced their way into a rural home between Tupperville and Dresden, causing about $600 in damage to a door.
The thieves stole three firearms in their locked cases: a Stevens .22 cal. lever-action rifle, a black Remington 710 12-gaurge pump-action shotgun and a black 270 Remington 710 pump-action shotgun.
They also made off with a 43-inch Sony Bravia TV, Seika DVD player, Nintendo gaming console, Super Nintendo gaming console, and a WD Passport 320Gb external hard drive.

About $41,000 in tools, as well as a trailer, were stolen from a wind turbine construction site over the weekend on Oldfield Line.
Police say someone stole the white 2013 Interstate cargo trailer, which was packed with tools.

As well, sometime between Nov. 9 and Nov. 19, someone entered a Chatham residence through an unlocked garage door and stole a red Honda EU 2000 generator, GPS, Blackberry Playbook and an iPod. The culprit caused about $1,000 damage to the homeowner’s 50-inch Samsung TV too.
Total value of the theft is pegged at about $1,600.

Somebody dumped a stolen Ford Fusion in a ditch at the corner of Colby Road and Gosnell line early this morning. Police responded to the call about 4 a.m. and tracked down that the car had been stolen sometime after 10 p.m. from the owner’s Ridgetown residence.

A thief also made a slow getaway with an e-bike overnight. Police say sometime between midnight and 8 a.m., someone stole a red Lisha e-bike from a carport on Harvey Street in Chatham.
The e-bike is covered in Red Wings stickers and is valued at about $400.
