Three badly hurt in crash near Wallaceburg

Three people, including two children, suffered critical injuries after a crash near Wallaceburg Saturday.

Chatham-Kent police say the accident took place on Kimble Road about 2:15 p.m.

A blue Volkswagen Golf was southbound when it crossed into oncoming traffic and then went off the road, striking a bridge railing abutment head-on.

Four people were inside the vehicle at the time of the crash, three of them kids.

The driver, a 56-year-old Wallaceburg man, suffered critical injuries and was taken to a Windsor hospital.

Two 12-year-old boys also suffered critical injuries and were taken to hospital in London.

A 15-year-old teen suffered moderate injuries and was transported to a hospital in Chatham.
