Author talk April 15

Author and speaker Maria Moore, a Mexican-born Mennonite of Old Colony heritage, will speak at a Literary Lunch this month at Mrs. Bell’s Tea Room.

Moore will share the story behind her memoir and research into a deeply personal family history on April 15.

Her book explores the murder of her father, the historical research surrounding the trial, and the lasting impact the event had on her family.

Through this work, Moore examines the complex intersection of faith, culture, and community within Old Colony Mennonite life.

The event will include time for questions.

Reserve your spot by calling Mrs. Bell’s Tea Room at 226-627-0248. Cost is $40 or $25. The event begins at 11:45 a.m.
