Home Life A Christmas tradition

A Christmas tradition

Since 1969, the Childs family in Wallaceburg has been hosting a Christmas meal to raise funds for the Salvation Army and St. Vincent DePaul.

This year’s event brought the total raised to more than $405,000.

Here, Black Goose owner Mark Childs (left) as well as staff and volunteers take a moment out of their busy day to stop for a photo.

The event originated with Gord and Fran Childs at the Primrose Gardens in 1969.
