A young Chatham man is in hospital in London with life-threatening injuries following a weekend accident.
The crash occurred on Centre Side Road near Pioneer Line just before 3 a.m.
Police say the driver, 23, the only occupant of the vehicle, lost control, left the road and went into a ditch.
He was initially taken to hospital in Chatham and was later transferred to London.
The intersection of Centre Side Road and Pioneer Line was closed for several hours early Saturday morning as police tried to piece together what happened.
