
Four people face a slew of charges in the wake of a May 6 drug raid in Chatham.
Police executed warrants on a McNaughton Avenue West residence and a vehicle shortly before 1 p.m.
Officers searched both and seized two loaded handguns, 217 grams of cocaine and 12.5 grams of fentanyl, as well as a replica BB handgun, a pellet gun, digital scales and cash.
Police estimate the street value of the seized drugs at more than $24,000.
Only one of the men arrested is from Chatham. The other three are from the Greater Toronto Area.
The local man, 27, is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking; and two counts each of possession of a prohibited device or ammunition; careless storage of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition; possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm with ammo; and knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm.
A Toronto man, 25, and two Scarborough men, 21, and 22, are charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking; two counts each of possession of a prohibited device or ammunition; careless storage of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition; possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm with ammo; and knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm.
In addition, the Toronto man is charged with eight counts of possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order.
The 21-year-old Scarborough man is additionally charged with four counts of possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order and four more of failing to comply with a probation order.
The 22-year-old Scarborough man faces an added charge of possession for the purposes of trafficking.
