Angry outburst leads to charges

Throwing a bag has led to charges against a Dresden woman.

Police got the call Thursday afternoon to a Dresden residence.

Investigations revealed that a verbal altercation escalated between the suspect and a 36-year-old male victim from Corunna.

Police say the accused threw a bag containing several items toward the victim, striking a nearby window. The accused then left the scene.

No injuries were reported by the victim and there was no structural damage.

Officers located the accused on Sydenham Street in Dresden and she was arrested.

A woman, 39, from Dresden, is charged with assault with a weapon.

Alleged fraudsters arrested

Two people wanted in connection with a fraud investigation were arrested early Thursday morning in Wallaceburg.

The investigation began Nov. 14 when a Wallaceburg woman reported her wallet had been stolen and that there were several unauthorised transactions at businesses in Wallaceburg made on her credit cards.

Through investigation and the review of surveillance footage, police identified the suspects. A warrant was issued for their arrest.

And shortly before 5 a.m. Thursday, police found the two on McNaughton Avenue in Wallaceburg

Two men, 49 and 36, are charged with fraud and possession of stolen property.

Assaults

An early morning disturbance in Blenheim has led to multiple charges, involving two people.

Police were called to the resident shortly after 3 a.m.

Officers investigated and learned that an argument had turned violent.

Police arrested and charged both parties.

A 54-year-old Harwich Twp. man is charged with assault and sexual assault, while a 57-year-old Harwich Twp. woman is charged with assault
