For those wondering what was up on Saturday on Grand Avenue West in Chatham west of Keil Drive, Chatham-Kent police say a man had barricaded himself inside his residence and was making threats towards police.
As a result, police cordoned off the area, brought in the Emergency Response Team, and for seven hours police negotiated with the man.
Eventually they were successful and entered the home to make their arrest.
No one was injured.
A 40-year-old Chatham man is charged with uttering threats.
