A local man spent the weekend behind bars following a case of what police are saying was intimate partner violence in Chatham on Friday.
As the clock was closing in on Saturday morning, police were called to a Chatham residence over the report of an intimate partner violence incident.
Police say a man went to a woman’s residence and assaulted her.
The man also threatened the victim, police say, and damaged items inside the home.
A 47-year-old Raleigh Township man is charged with assault, uttering threats and mischief.
