
Chatham-Kent police raided a Chatham resident – and a rental car – on Tuesday morning, resulting in four arrests and the seizure of nearly $161,000 in illicit drugs.
Police went door bashing shortly after 9 a.m., executing the warrants on the home and a Toyota Corolla.
Seized were 319 grams of fentanyl, 193 grams of cocaine, 605 grams of methamphetamine, 236 grams of heroin, numerous hydromorphone and nabilone capsules, as well as clonazepam tablets, digital scales, packaging materials and a large quantity of cash.
Four people – a man, 31, and woman, 49, of Chatham, and two Kitchener men, 23 and 27, are all charged with seven counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a prohibited firearm with ammunition, unauthorized possession of a firearm, careless storage of a firearm and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
