
A Chatham woman who refused to blow into a Breathalyzer on the weekend still wound up facing charges.
Police pulled over a vehicle about 4:40 a.m. on Keil Drive in Chatham on Saturday morning, suspecting the driver was impaired.
Officers tried to administer a roadside test, but police say the driver declined.
As a result, the driver was arrested and charged with refusing to provide a breath sample. The vehicle was impounded for seven days and the driver was issued a 90-day licence suspension.
The driver, a 47-year-old Chatham woman will have her day in court.
Meanwhile, later that evening, a Chatham man is facing impaired charges following a single-vehicle crash.
A pickup went off the road on Tramway Road and rolled into a ditch.
Police say officer had grounds to believe the driver was impaired.
As a result, a Chatham man, 20, faces impaired charges following blood-alcohol testing.
