It began with two people apparently falling asleep in a Chatham restaurant in the middle of the afternoon, and ended with a local man facing impaired driving charges.
On Thursday, shortly before 3 p.m., police were called to a Queen Street restaurant. Apparently, two people were nodding off at the restaurant before they stumbled off to get into a vehicle in the parking lot.
A concerned citizen reported the fact, and police responded.
As a result, a 47-year-old Chatham man is charged with impaired driving – by drugs.
