Local physician searchers put a line in the water, and hauled in a new family physician for Wallaceburg recently.
The Wallaceburg Community Fundraising Team and the Chatham Kent Family Health Team recruited Dr. Adebisi Ogundipe to the Wallaceburg site.
Ogundipe will be joining the Wallaceburg site of the Chatham-Kent Family Health Team effective Aug. 1.
Ogundipe completed her medical education at the Obafemi Awolowo University College of Health Sciences in Nigeria. She has been practicing in the United Kingdom for the majority of her career.
She will be moving to the Chatham-Kent community along with her family this summer.
Ogundipe’s practice will focus on providing comprehensive, evidence-based care to individuals across all stages of life, according to a media release.
She’ll build her practice from patients left without a doctor after their physician departed from the Wallaceburg campus of the Chatham-Kent Family Health Team, as well as from Health Care Connect.
Previous patients of the Wallaceburg office that were left unattached have been sent letters directly to explain how to apply for Ogundipe’s practice. For all other interested patients, register with Health Care Connect via hcc3.hcc.moh.gov.on.ca or phone 1-800-445-1822.
