30 calls = charges
It started shortly after midnight Sunday, and continued basically until police pounded on the door.
We’re talking about calls to the Chatham-Kent Police Service’s non-emergency line.
Police say a man in Erieau began calling that line about 12:24 a.m. Sunday, and the calls continued into the early morning. In total, police say the man made 30 calls to police and the caller did not have a legitimate emergency to report.
Officers went to the Nichols Avenue home where the calls were originating, investigated and charged a 46-year-old Erieau man with harassing communications.
