A quintet of Chatham citizens are facing drug trafficking charges in the wake of a June 11 raid.
Intelligence officers, with the support of the Emergency Response Team, executed the warrant at a residence on Park Street in Chatham.
The officers found what police say was a “substantial quantity of controlled substances, including fentanyl, methamphetamine, hydromorphone, and cocaine.”
The drugs seized have a street value of approximately $81,000, according to police.
Also seized in the raid were packaging materials, digital scales, a couple of BB guns, one Taser, a collapsable baton, and cash.
Two men – 29, 27 and 24 – and two women – 34 and 42 – are charged with three counts each of possession for the purpose of trafficking, and unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon.
As well, the 29-year-old man faces charges of possession of a weapon contrary to a probation order and possession knowing its possession is unauthorized.
