Baseline Road between Baldoon and Chenal roads was closed for much of Saturday after a trio of telephone poles were toppled during sustained high winds which reached 50 kilometres per hour.
The winds knocked out power to parts of Chatham for a time on Saturday as well, as another pole came down there.
