An elusive criminal who became the subject of some of Canada’s most intense manhunts will be discussed in Bothwell on Nov. 13.
Canadian historian and author Paul Langan has penned a book titled “Orval Shaw – The Bandit from Skunk’s Misery.” It details the life of a so-called mystery man who lived north of the East Kent community.
Langan’s work is the first time Shaw’s turbulent history has been compiled in one spot and it tells the tale of the many police hunts where the petty criminal evaded the law.
The talk and book signing will be held at the Jim Kish Theatre at Bothwell Town Hall beginning at 7 p.m.
The hall is located at 320 Main St.
