
Crash leads to impaired charges
An accident Wednesday evening in Chatham has led to impaired charges against a local man.
Police say they received a report of a single-vehicle collision about 9:50 p.m. on King Street West.
No one was injured, but police say the driver was believed to be intoxicated.
Breath samples taken were more than double the legal limit, police say.
A 20-year-old Chatham man faces impaired driving charges.
Break-ins under investigation
Chatham-Kent police look to the public for help in solving two recent break ins.
The first took place sometime between Aug. 5 and Aug. 7 on Daniels Place in Chatham.
Someone broke into the home and took about $8,500 in valuables.

Meanwhile, police are also investigating a commercial break-in on Richmond Street in Chatham.
Someone damaged a door to gain access to the building. The alarm went off about 2:20 a.m., alerting police.
