A four-month child pornography investigation led to the arrest of a Chatham man on the weekend.
The investigation into the possession of child sexual abuse material began in November, and members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service Internet Child Exploitation Unit (ICE) executed a search warrant at a residence in Chatham.
Through that investigation, an arrest warrant was issued for a 55-year-old man of that residence.
Police found the man on March 30 and arrested him. He is charged with possession of child pornography, accessing child pornography, and making child pornography available.
I’m flabbergasted that you would refer to child phonograph as “kiddie” pornography. That was definitely a social faux pas that denigrates the seriousness of child pornography. Bad choice of wording.
