Chatham-Kent firefighters had to call in an excavator to knock down a home that went up in flames overnight.
According to C-K fire officials, Stations from Blenheim, Erieau and Raleigh South responded to a house fire at 19497 Fargo Road about 1:20 a.m. Monday morning.
They arrived to see the house engulfed in flames.
Officials report the house was unoccupied at the time of the fire.
A total of 34 firefighters were on hand to extinguish the blaze, the cause of which is undetermined.
