Indecent act

A Tilbury man faces charges after Chatham-Kent police say he performed an indecent act at the Tilbury Library on the weekend.

Police say the issue took place Jan. 6.

Through investigation, officers identified the man. In late November, he was released from custody on a probation order ordering him to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.

A 26-year-old Tilbury man is charged with indecent act – public place, and failing to comply with a probation order. He was transported to police headquarters and held pending a bail hearing.

B&E arrest

A tilbury man faces charges following a break-in on Horton Line Tuesday night.

Police got the call shortly before 9:45 p.m. They arrived and found the man.

A 48-year-old Tilbury man is charged with break-and-enter and possession of break-and-enter instruments.

Couple arrested for theft

A domestic disturbance complaint led to charges against a man and a woman in Chatham Tuesday afternoon.

At 3:55 p.m., police responded to Mary Street in Chatham for the domestic disturbance.

Upon arrival, the police discovered both the man and the woman were wanted on outstanding warrants related to a December theft investigation. Both were arrested.

A 33-year-old Chatham woman is charged with theft and possession of stolen property.

A 27-year-old Chatham man is charged with theft and possession.

Stolen property

Riding around on stolen property got a Wallaceburg man arrested, police say.

Tuesday night, about 10:40 p.m., an officer on general patrol on Margaret Avenue in Wallaceburg spotted an e-bike reported stolen a day earlier from McNaughton Avenue.

The officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested the man driving the e-bike.

A 35-year-old Wallaceburg man is charged with possession of stolen property.
