Calling all creative types – it’s time for Chatham-Kent’s annual ‘Name the Snow Plow’ contest.

Now in its third year, the popular tradition asks local residents to come up with witty and imaginative names for the municipality’s snow plow fleet.

The initiative, again sponsored by Winmar, will see a snow plow named in all of Chatham-Kent’s wards. Residents are able to vote for the names they like the best online.

Mayor Darrin Canniff said he’s always “pleasantly surprised” by the incredible creativity the contest unleashes in the community, adding it’s “heartwarming to see everyone participate in this fun and unique tradition.”

Voting closes Dec. 3. To cast your vote, click here, and click on the heart icon beside your selection.
