Chatham-Kent firefighters battled a fire at the end of Wellington Street East in Chatham this afternoon.
Thick black smoke poured out of the bush, and drew spectators from all over the area.
Chatham-Kent Fire & Rescue officials said a number of rubber railroad crossing panels burned.
The cause of the fire is undetermined at this time.
