A Chatham-Kent man faces mischief charges after someone kicked the door of another person’s vehicle recently.

On Aug. 25, police began investigating a domestic disturbance that occurred in the driveway of a Park Avenue West address in Chatham.

Through investigation, police learned a verbal argument escalated when a man threw coffee onto the radio and dash of a car, exited the vehicle, and began kicking the vehicle, police say.

The vehicle sustained damage to the passenger door. The man could not be located at the time, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

On Monday afternoon, a 31-year-old Chatham-Kent man attended police headquarters and turned himself in to the police. The man was charged with two counts of mischief.
