A Tilbury man is dead and Chatham-Kent police are trying to piece together exactly what happened.
They received a call early this morning that a man had not returned home from work. Officers tracked the route from his workplace in Chatham to his Tilbury home.
They got as far as Merlin Line and discovered his vehicle in the ditch on the west side of the road. The man was still in the driver’s seat.
Police say the 25-year-old Tilbury man was extracted from the vehicle and transported to the hospital. Despite life-saving efforts administered at the scene and by hospital staff, the man was pronounced dead.
