The biggest fundraiser for a local charity saw its greatest turnout to date recently.
Myles Neuts Make Children Better Now (MCBN) Association held its annual golf tournament recently at Willow Ridge Golf & Country Club, with its largest ever field in the association’s 10 years of running the event. A total of 34 teams and 136 golfers took part.
Top team of Matt Hind, Bob Hamilton, Bev Badder and Gord Peters were 12 under for the day, aided by Hind’s hole in one on the Par-3 ninth hole. That ace saw Hind win $5,000 in furniture from Leon’s.
MCBN’s Mike Neuts said organizers are still tallying the funds raised, but he is hopeful the number will hit the $10,000 mark.
