Road rage leads to multiple charges

It took about 10 days, but the OPP tracked down a suspect in a case of road rage.

Chatham-Kent OPP report the incident occurred shortly before 2 p.m. on May 13 on Communication Road near Highway 401.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service assisted, and the vehicle involved, as well as the suspected driver, were later located in Chatham.

As part of the investigation, the OPP, with assistance of Chatham-Kent police, executed a search warrant on a residence on Southend Crescent in Chatham. Police seized scales, ammunition, firearms, and a quantity of suspected oxycodone.

A 22-year-old Chatham man is charged with assault with a weapon, using an imitation firearm during the commission of an offence, possession for the purposes of trafficking, possession of a prohibited device or ammunition, and failure to comply with an undertaking.
