Road rage

On Monday morning Chatham-Kent police responded to a traffic complaint in the area of McNaughton Avenue and Victoria Avenue in Chatham.

Through investigation, police learned that a disturbance between drivers resulted in one man being assaulted.

A 38-year-old Chatham was arrested and charged with assault.

Speed traps

Officers with the traffic unit will have their radar guns ready and eyes focused this week as part of Canada Road Safety Week.

They set up two different traffic enforcement areas on Monday. Three motorists got nailed for speeding along Longwoods Road near Louisville.

Another speed trap at McKay’s Corners saw two motorists wind up with tickets.

Chatham-Kent police officials say they’ll keep it up all week long and into the long weekend.
