Impaired and more
Chatham-Kent police officers responded to a traffic complaint in Tilbury on Middle Line at 3:58 p.m. Monday.
When officers arrived they were able to find the vehicle and attempted a traffic stop. However, police say the driver of the vehicle did not stop and tried to escape by reversing their vehicle through a stop sign and then fleeing on foot.
Officers were able to find the driver hiding in a nearby shed and arrested him.
A 49-year-old Tilbury man was charged with having a blood alcohol level exceeding the legal limit, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, flight from police, break in enter, and resisting arrest.
Warrant arrest
On Monday at 1:15 p.m., patrol police found a woman, who was wanted for possession of stolen property, on King Street East in Chatham.
The 26-year-old woman was arrested and released with a future court date.
Failing to attend court
Police were called to Holden Street in Chatham for a disturbance Monday afternoon at 1:16 p.m.
When police arrived, they found a man who was on an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court in November.
The 41-year-old man was arrested and released with a future court date.
Outstanding warrant
On Monday at 5:03 p.m., patrol police found a woman on Grand Avenue West in Chatham who was known to have an outstanding warrant that was held by the Windsor Police Service.
The 26-year-old Paris, Ont. woman was arrested and turned over to the Windsor Police Service.

On Monday at 11:43 p.m. police were able to conduct a traffic stop on Wellington Street in Chatham after they realized the occupant inside the vehicle was wanted on an outstanding warrant held by the Ontario Provincial Police.
A 28-year-old Tilbury woman was arrested and turned over to the OPP.
