B&E on Glenwood

Chatham-Kent police officers were called to a residence on Glenwood Drive in Chatham on Wednesday. 

Sometime during the night, someone apparently found a hidden shed key. They then stole a leaf blower and other tools.

Anyone with information about the break-in is asked to contact Const. Manuel Carmona-Moreno at manuelac@chatham-kent.ca. Anonymous callers may call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) and may be eligible for a cash reward.

B&E in Blenheim

Another count of break, enter and theft happened on Wednesday as well on Water street in Blenheim where sometime yesterday night, unknown suspects forcefully opened up a shed and stole various tools. 

The cost of what was stolen is estimated at $2,000.

Woman arrested for theft

Police responded to a call Wednesday afternoon at 12:57 p.m. about a theft at Wal-Mart on St. Clair Street. 

Police learned through investigation that a woman had stolen items from Home Depot, Real Canadian Superstore, and Wal-Mart. 

Police arrested their suspect. A 63-year-old Windsor  was charged for theft and giving a false identity to officers during the investigation process.
