Chatham-Kent saw its 53rd COVID-19-related death over the past couple of days, as numbers overall continue to drop.
While one additional person did perish due to the virus, there is just one person in the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance’s ICU with COVID, with nine others in other areas of care at the hospital battling the illness.
We are down to three areas of outbreak, as a group home and Village on the Ridge seniors’ home are still in outbreak locally. One of the Medicine Units at the hospital is also in outbreak.
The seven-day rolling average in terms of new cases sits at 33, although the average over the past two days is 37.5.
