A Mississauga man is facing a slew of charges that began with someone zipping along Highway 401 on Dec. 19.
Chatham-Kent OPP say an officer clocked a vehicle doing more than 150 km/h on the 401 about 12:30 a.m. on Dec. 19, and they took up pursuit.
The officer pulled the vehicle over but the driver tried to flee towards a nearby field.
He didn’t get far.
Police called in the canine unit to search for evidence. They found cocaine.
As a result, a 27-year-old Mississauga man faces charges of stunt driving, driving with liquor readily available, resisting arrest, obstructing police and possession for the purpose of trafficking.
