Pedestrian struck in Wallaceburg

On Saturday, Chatham-Kent police responded to a serious motor vehicle collision on Dufferin Avenue and Arnold Street in Wallaceburg. The collision involved a single motor vehicle and a female pedestrian.

As a result of the collision, one party was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

B&E on Maryknoll

On Monday, Chatham-Kent police were dispatched to attend the area of Maryknoll Road in Chatham in response to a call of a break and enter.

Sometime between Oct. 29 and 30, someone broke into a laundry room window of the home and stole approximately $5,000 worth of property.

Plate theft in Wheatley

Someone stole a single license plate off a vehicle in Wheatley recently.

On Monday, police got the call to attend an address on Erie Street South in Wheatley in response to a call of a theft of licence plates.

Sometime overnight, the front licence plate was stolen from a pickup truck in the driveway.

Area residents are asked to contact police if suspicious activity is observed.

Fail to comply

Back in August, a man was released from court with several conditions. One of those conditions stated that he was not to attend the home of a specific Chatham woman.

Around 7 p.m. Sunday evening, police responded to a call for service at the woman’s home. Through investigation officers learned that the man had attended her residence.

A 71-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with failing to comply.
