C-K’s active COVID numbers dip again

Another day of positive numbers in terms of battling COVID-19 in Chatham-Kent.

CK Public Health figures indicate our active caseload dropped by six today, as 12 new cases were reported over the past 24 hours against 18 deemed resolved.

That dropped the active case count by six, to 104.

As well, one fewer local resident is in hospital, as six people are in the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance from the municipality with the illness.

There are, however, four out-of-municipality individuals at CKHA with COVID-19.

Of the 10 in hospital, two are fully vaccinated, six are in the ICU and two of those are on ventilators.

The ICU is at 80-per-cent occupancy.

Four CKHA staffers are off work due to contracting COVID-19 or being exposed to the virus.
