Man arrested twice In same day
Two time’s a charm.
Chatham-Kent Police arrested a man yesterday at approximately 4:15 p.m. on an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court on July 13. He was released with a court date of Aug. 11
About 2.5 hours after that arrest, police located the same man on the property of a business on Queens Line near Chatham going through vehicles.
He was arrested for theft under $5,000 and possession under $5,000.
The 25-year-old man of Chatham was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
One car, three arrests
The Chatham-Kent Police have arrested three people as a result of a traffic stop.
Thursday, shortly after 3 p.m., police stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. Through investigation, police learned that there were grounds to arrest all three occupants for possession of controlled substances for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine and fentanyl.
The approximate street value would be $6,600.
A 55-year-old male of Chatham and a 45-year-old female of Blenheim were held in custody pending a bail hearing.
A 49-year-old female of Sarnia was released with a future court date.
