The COVID-19 active case count in Chatham-Kent popped back up one on Monday morning, to 33.

This is due to nine new cases reported over the weekend, versus eight deemed resolved.

As well, one more C-K resident is in hospital locally battling the virus. That brings the total number of local residents in hospital here to five.

Meanwhile, the provincial downward trend continued today, with 2,716 new cases reported. That’s the fourth time in the past seven days the number has been below 3,000. It also dropped the seven-day average to 3,017 or just under 21 per 100,000 people.
