Active COVID count down to 36 in C-K

The COVID-19 yo-yo rose yesterday in Chatham-Kent, and dropped again today.

Chatham-Kent’s back and forth effort against COVID-19 saw us down one active case overall to 36, with three new cases reported in the past 24 hours, against four more deemed resolved.

Two people remain in hospital battling the effects of the virus at this time.

CK Public health yesterday opened vaccinations up to include those aged 55 and up. Doctors’ offices are in the process of reaching out let patients know, but you can sign up on your own at GetYourShotCK.ca 

Provincially, numbers rose by 16 over the past 24 hours, as 3,887 cases were reported across the province. The weekly average, however, dropped to 3,772.
