There’s a new assistant fire chief in the municipality.
Sean McRoberts has worked his way up the ranks of the Chatham-Kent Fire Service.
McRoberts began his career with the Municipality of Chatham-Kent in 1993 with Recreation Facilities, working his way up to the role of a Recreation Facilities Supervisor.
However, he began his firefighting career with the Chatham-Kent Fire Department in 2001 as a volunteer firefighter with Station 9 in Bothwell.
From there, McRoberts was hired by the fire service as a full-time firefighter in 2009.
“We are delighted to welcome Chief McRoberts to the command team. He brings a significant wealth of experience and education that will serve our firefighters, and our community well,” Chief Chris Case said in a media release. “I am pleased to see our internal talent continue to develop and take leadership roles in our municipality.”
McRoberts has also spent time working as an instructor at the Lambton College Fire School.
Congrats. Sean
