Collision witness sought

Chatham-Kent Police are investigating a motor vehicle collision involving a house, and are looking for someone who may have seen what happened.

The collision took place Jan. 29 at about 1 a.m. on Aberdeen Street in Merlin.

The investigating officer would like to speak to a witness that was possibly driving a dark coloured pickup truck and may have spoken to the driver involved in the collision.

Sometime overnight on Feb. 2, unknown suspect(s) forced their way into four storage units on North Street in Dresden.

At this time, an inventory of property taken is being completed.

Police have arrested and charged a man in relation to a break, enter and theft in Chatham.

On Feb. 2, police responded to a call on Fifth Street. The suspect entered the residence though a basement window. Approximately $500 worth of tools was taken from the residence.

The suspect was located along with the stolen property.

A 24-year-old man has a future court date.
