Friday police briefs

Camper stolen

Yesterday afternoon around noon, the owner was towing his 2014 Keystone Sprinter 32’ trailer on Bradley Line in Dover Township when the trailer sustained a flat tire.

The trailer was left parked on the side of Town Line Road while the owner drove to Tilbury to get the tire repaired.

Upon his return around 3 p.m., the trailer was gone.

It was last seen with Ontario license plate K65 502. Total value of the theft has been estimated at $40,000.

Truck stolen

Last night, shortly after 10 p.m., someone stole a brown 2015 Ford F-150 from a residence on Seys Line in Dover Township.

The truck was last seen with Ontario license plates 351 4FS.

Fail to comply

More than two years ago, a man was released from Court with several conditions. One of those conditions stated that the man was to stay out of the Municipality of Chatham-Kent except to attend court or when travelling on the 401.

Last night, around 9:30 p.m. an officer on general patrol observed the man driving on Park Street in Chatham. The officer initiated a traffic stop and the man was arrested.

A 33-year-old Sarnia man was charged with failing to comply with his release conditions. He was released pending a future court date.

PlayStation stolen

Sometime between Wednesday at 5 p.m. and yesterday at 4 p.m. someone entered an apartment on Delaware Avenue, causing about $100 damage. Once inside the suspect(s) stole a PlayStation 3 console and controller.

Crash course

Yesterday morning, police responded to a single motor vehicle collision in the area of Erie Street North in Merlin.
