Chatham-Kent police have release the identity of the woman killed in the weekend fire at an apartment building on Merritt Avenue.
Daphne Wilkins, 40, perished in the blaze.
Police say the Ontario Fire Marshall’s Office attended the scene to assist with the investigation.
At this time, officials say the cause of the fire and the woman’s death are not being treated as suspicious.
Fire broke out at the apartment Saturday afternoon, and emergency crews discovered the body in the apartment.
