Drunk dude with a knife

Last year, a man was released from Court with several conditions. One of those conditions stated that he was not to possess any weapons.

Yesterday morning, Chatham-Kent police responded to the report of an intoxicated man, waving a knife around on McNaughton Avenue in Wallaceburg.

Officers located a man drinking alcohol on the railway tracks with the knife beside him. A 40-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested and charged with failing to comply with his release conditions. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Assault

Last night, police responded to a disturbance at a residence in Blenheim.

Through investigation, police learned that the man assaulted his ex-girlfriend earlier this month. 

A 28-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested and charged with assault. 

Warrants 

Yesterday morning, police arrested a man in Chatham who was wanted on an outstanding warrant by Windsor Police. 

A 27-year-old Chatham man was turned over to officers from Windsor for court purposes.

Yesterday afternoon, a man wanted for failing to comply with his release conditions was arrested in London. 

A 36-year-old man of no fixed address was transported back to Chatham-Kent for court purposes. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Early this morning, police arrested a man in Chatham who was wanted for failing to comply with his release conditions. 

A 55-year-old man was released pending a future court date.  

Traffic stop leads to charges

Early this morning, just before 4 a.m., an officer on general patrol initiated a traffic stop on Queen Street in Chatham.

Through investigation, the officer learned that the driver was suspended for unpaid fines and demerit points. 

A 31-year-old Chatham man was charged with being a G1 driver and unaccompanied by a qualified driver, along with two counts of driving while under suspension.
