Fire investigation
The Ontario Fire Marshall is now investigating a weekend fire in Wallaceburg.
Chatham-Kent police say the fire broke out about 7:30 p.m. on Brownlee Crescent.
The homeowner had to be taken to hospital in Wallaceburg, but was airlifted to London for additional medical attention and later transferred to a hospital in Toronto, police say.

Collision leads to charges…a lot of charges
Yesterday afternoon around 3 p.m. police responded to a single motor vehicle collision involving a hydro pole on Elgin Street near Creek Street in Wallaceburg.
The driver fled the scene, however with the assistance of witnesses, officers located the vehicle on Book Street.
Through investigation, police say officers learned that the man was driving a stolen pick-up truck from Watford with a stolen ATV from Sarnia in the back.
Jacob Tessier, 27, of Wallaceburg was arrested and charged with two counts of being in possession of property obtained by a crime over $5,000, driving while under suspension, using plates not authorized for the vehicle and failing to remain at the scene of a collision.
Mischief
On Saturday afternoon, a woman was at a local gas station in Wallaceburg when a man known to her, stopped and kicked a light on her vehicle, causing it to break.
Last night, police located the man and he was arrested. The 40-year-old Wallaceburg man was charged with mischief under $5000.
Domestic charges
Last night, police responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence in Chatham.
Through investigation, police learned that during a verbal argument, the man damaged items in the home belonging to the woman.
Officers located the man a short distance away from the residence and he was arrested.
Upon being searched incident to arrest, the man was found to be in possession of a spring-loaded knife, police say.
The 40-year-old Bothwell man was charged with mischief under $5000 and being in possession of a prohibited weapon.
Scooter found
Yesterday afternoon, a red mobility scooter was located near Cascades Casino on Richmond Street in Chatham.
