Fire, fail to remain and B&Es

Chatham-Kent police say a fire at South Buxton Raceway early this morning is under investigation.

Police want to track down an SUV and its driver after someone was clipped on an E-bike on Tuesday afternoon.

Chatham-Kent police say the woman riding the E-bike suffered minor injuries in the collision that took place in the area of Beth Crescent and McFarlane Avenue.

The red SUV involved in the mishap fled the area prior to police arrival.

There were also two more B&Es reported in Wallaceburg Tuesday.

Yesterday morning police responded to a break and enter at a residence on Elgin Street in Wallaceburg. The unknown party entered a detached shed on the property and took an 85cc, multi-coloured 2006 Honda dirt bike. A distinct feature on the bike is that it has the number 11 placard on both sides near the back of the bike.

Yesterday afternoon, officers responded to a break and enter at a residence on Bluewater Line in Wallaceburg. The break and enter is believed to have occurred sometime between Aug. 19 and 21.

The unknown party entered a detached garage on the property and took a Poulan Chainsaw, a Stihl Weed Eater and a Black Raleigh Bike, 20-speed with a square seat.
